Meet James King, ITC Millwork's Director of Safety, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in Safety, Training, and Compliance. Originally from Ohio, James grew up on a dairy farm, shaping his hard work and responsibility values.
Certified as a First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor and an OSHA Outreach Authorized Trainer, James is dedicated to the well-being of his colleagues. He obtained his Commercial Drivers License at 19 and emphasizes a proactive approach with the motto "Don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today."
James, a University of Dayton alum, has worked in various locations, including PA, OH, and MO, and resides in Concord, NC. His career spans New Residential, Custom Home, and Commercial Construction roles, primarily as a Safety/Fleet Manager.
His philosophy, "Safety First, No Excuses, Everyone Goes Home," reflects his commitment to a secure work environment. A family man, James is a proud father of five and enjoys activities like traveling, hunting, and fishing. He is an active member of the Safety and Health Council of NC, promoting workplace safety.
James finds joy in nature outside of work, whether in his tree stand or on the racetrack, where he accumulated over 75 wins driving dirt race cars in PA and OH. While unsure about seeking fame, he contemplates it for a noble cause: preventing all deaths and injuries resulting from safety violations and hazards. Ultimately, James King finds happiness in the simple moments with his kids and grandchildren.
