ITC Millwork has served building professionals throughout the Carolinas for nearly four decades.

Foundation

1987 | The Beginning
ITC Millwork began as an installation-focused company serving builders throughout the Charlotte metropolitan area. Built on hard work, craftsmanship, and strong customer relationships, the company earned a reputation for quality workmanship and dependable service. The hands-on experience gained in the field laid the foundation for the product knowledge, industry expertise, and customer-first approach that continue to define ITC today.

1999 | The Millwork Division is Established

In 1999, ITC expanded beyond installation services and established its millwork division. Investments in CNC equipment and manufacturing capabilities enabled the company to produce mouldings, millwork components, and specialty products while continuing to serve builders throughout the region. Starting with a team of six employees, the division set the stage for future expansion.

Growth & Partnership

2002 | Joining the U.S. Architectural Group

In 2002, ITC became part of the U.S. Architectural Millwork Group, expanding access to premium millwork products and manufacturing resources. The move strengthened the company's ability to serve builders, remodelers, architects, and designers with a broader range of products and capabilities. This milestone helped position ITC for continued growth throughout the Carolinas.

2007 | Charleston Market Entry

As demand for quality millwork continued to grow throughout the Carolinas, ITC expanded into the Charleston market with the opening of its Mocksville, South Carolina location. The move strengthened the company's ability to serve the Lowcountry with local inventory, delivery, and project support. Establishing a presence in Charleston reinforced ITC's commitment to South Carolina and expanded its reach into one of the region's most active construction markets.

Resilience & Reinvention

2008 | Navigating the Recession

The housing market collapse and economic recession of 2008 brought unprecedented challenges to the construction industry. Like many companies, ITC experienced a dramatic decline in business and was forced to make difficult adjustments to weather one of the most challenging periods in history. Despite the downturn, the company remained committed to its customers and emerged positioned for future growth as the housing market recovered.

2012 | A Strategic Focus

In 2012, ITC sharpened its focus on what it does best: delivering exceptional customer service, sales support, logistics, and project coordination across the Carolinas. By concentrating on these core strengths, the company significantly broadened its product selection and expanded its capabilities while retaining specialized in-house production through its Specialty Millwork offerings. This evolution positioned ITC for sustained growth and deepened its role as a trusted partner to building professionals throughout the region.

Expansion

2013 | A Year of Growth

2013 marked a significant year of expansion for ITC and the U.S. Architectural Millwork Group. ITC strengthened its presence in North Carolina with the opening of its Raleigh location, extending support to builders, remodelers, architects, and designers throughout the Triangle region. During the same year, the organization expanded its regional footprint with the addition of D&D Mouldings in Indianapolis and U.S. Architectural Millwork in Knoxville. Together, these milestones strengthened resources, capabilities, and market reach across multiple states.

2015 | Raleigh Relocation

To support continued growth in the Triangle market, ITC relocated its Raleigh operations to a larger facility in 2015. The expanded location provided additional warehouse space, increased inventory capacity, and improved operational efficiency, allowing the company to better serve building professionals throughout the region. The move marked another important step in ITC's long-term commitment to the Triangle market and prepared the Raleigh operation for its next phase of expansion.

2016 | Expanding Market Coverage

In 2016, ITC expanded its sales organization, strengthening customer support and market coverage throughout the Carolinas. The addition of experienced industry professionals enhanced the company's ability to serve builders, remodelers, architects, and designers while supporting continued growth across multiple markets.

2019 | New Charleston Facility

In 2019, ITC opened a new Charleston facility to support continued growth throughout the Lowcountry and coastal South Carolina. The location expanded warehouse capacity, inventory storage, and service capabilities while strengthening the company's commitment to the region. The Charleston operation continues to support builders and building professionals throughout one of the Southeast's most active construction markets.

Looking Ahead

2025 | Triangle Expansion

In 2025, ITC opened its new Triangle headquarters and distribution facility in Garner, North Carolina, marking a significant investment in the company's future and the customers it serves. The expanded facility increased warehouse capacity, inventory storage, and operational efficiency, strengthening ITC's ability to support continued growth throughout the Triangle and surrounding markets. The move represents the latest chapter in the company's long-term commitment to serving building professionals.

The Story Continues....

For nearly four decades, ITC has adapted, grown, and evolved to meet the needs of the building professionals it serves. While this timeline highlights key milestones along the way, the company's greatest achievements are still in the making—one project, one customer, and one relationship at a time.
